Jennie Coleman-Harrison, MPH

Jennie Coleman-Harrison, MPH, is the project coordinator for the National Institute of Child Health and Development-funded preschool obesity prevention project at the UCLA Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Equity and the UCLA Jonsson Cancer Prevention and Control and Research Center. Jennie is passionate about developing sustainable and culturally–relevant health programs that educate and empower healthy communities. She has extensive experience with community-based partnerships, program development, and health disparities research.

Jennie earned her Bachelors from the University of Michigan and her Masters of Public Health (MPH) from Drexel University after serving a year in AmeriCorp. Jennie has been involved in various health projects focused on homelessness, drug-user health, Hepatitis C, HIV, cancer, HPV, and others in a variety of healthcare settings.   

As an avid hiker and rock climber, Jennie loves spending her free time exploring Los Angeles’s natural beauty. You can find her on the beach with a plate of tacos and her dogs.
