The American Cancer Society and the California Dialogue on Cancer are pleased to invite you to attend the Get Screened California: A Call to Action for Cancer Screening virtual meeting on Tuesday, December 7th from 11:30am-1:00pm PST. This meeting is part of the California Dialogue on Cancer’s partnership with the American Cancer Society to promote the American Cancer Society’s national Get Screened public awareness campaign (www.cancer.org/get-screened) among California’s diverse population. We look forward to convening California stakeholders with an interest and ability to promote life-saving cancer screenings.
We welcome professionals in the health arena and anyone interested in promoting health and wellness in our California communities to join us for an informative 90-minute session. Participants will learn about the current state of cancer screening in the U.S. and California, hear innovative strategies to increase cancer screening, and gain valuable resources to support this work. This meeting will also highlight the value of utilizing social media platforms to promote cancer screening and will introduce our 6-week Get Screened California social media campaign which officially launches in January 2022.
California healthcare organizations, community based organizations and others who can reach our local communities with this important message are invited to take part in this statewide effort to promote cancer screenings.
