The Cancer Detection Programs: Every Woman Counts (CDP:EWC) program is a statewide project that provides breast and cervical screening services to women. CDP:EWC is administered by the California Department of Health Services and was made possible by the passage of the Breast Cancer Act of 1993 and the Breast and Cervical Cancer Mortality Act of 1990.
Regional partnerships throughout the state are developing and implementing local strategies to increase access to breast and cervical cancer screening and early detection services for medically underserved women.
Partnered for Progress, the Los Angeles County Regional Cancer Detection Partnership, is a broad-based network of concerned agencies and individuals dedicated to decreasing breast and cervical cancer mortality and promoting healthy lifestyle.
