Phillip (Phil) Sundin is a Biostatistics Ph.D. student at UCLA’s Fielding School of Public Health. He primarily works with data from an HPV vaccination project. The statistical challenges from this dataset will be the focus of his doctoral dissertation. His primary statistical research interests include the design of experiments, cluster-randomized trials, clinical trial design and methodology, longitudinal analyses, and survival models. Phil also has co-authorships on papers concerning global health telemedicine challenges and mental health outcomes in HIV-prevalent communities.

Before joining UCLA, Phil was a management consultant in Deloitte’s Strategy and Operations division. Phil completed his M.S. in Biostatistics in 2018 and graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2014 with a B.S. in industrial engineering and honors from the Schreyer Honors College.
