Vaping & E-cigarettes Education

Vaping & E-cigarettes Education

To disseminate information about the youth vaping epidemic, health risks associated with vaping, and strategies parents can use to help prevent or stop the use of e-cigarettes among their children and teens, our center:

  • Conducted outreach activities at local community health fairs using mini-talks and culturally and linguistically appropriate hand-out materials.
  • Collected information on community e-cigarette use, knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions through a community health survey, in collaboration with Valley Care Community Consortium.
  • Developing a culturally relevant e-cigarette curriculum for community health workers, based on interviews and feedback from key stakeholders.
