Analissa Avila, Ph.D., M.S.

Graduate Student Researcher


Analissa Avila is a graduate student in the Department of Biostatistics at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. She graduated with her Master of Science in June 2020, and completed her PhD program in 2025. In her role, Analissa performs statistical analysis and data management for projects at the UCLA Center for Cancer Prevention and Control Research.  She has been involved with research projects centered around colorectal cancer screening and obesity prevention.

Prior to joining the Center, Analissa worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research. While there, she provided research assistance for California Health Interview Survey (CHIS) projects. Analissa has a B.S. in Probability and Statistics from UC San Diego. After receiving her undergraduate degree, she worked as a Research Analyst for a software company in Orange County.
