Diana Balderas Trujillo, B.S.

Program Coordinator


Diana Balderas Trujillo is a program coordinator at the UCLA Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Equity and Center for Cancer Prevention and Control Research. She received her B.S. in physiological sciences from the University of California, Los Angeles. She grew up in South Central Los Angeles where she was first introduced to the health disparities in place and in turn, ignited her passion to improve health equity in underserved communities.

Diana assists in various projects, including a CRDP-funded Prevention and Early Intervention mental health and domestic violence program evaluation; a TRDRP-funded pilot project that aims to collect data regarding tobacco, e-cigarette and cannabis use, attitudes and beliefs; and a PCORI-funded study to promote HPV vaccination in FQHCs. She enjoys collaborating with many community organizations on these projects and working to improve health equity in the Indigenous Mexican agricultural community in Oxnard. In her role, Diana also assists in document translation and other administrative work.

In her free time Diana enjoys going on long walks with her dog Nike, eating new foods and going to the movies.
