Topic: breast cancer survivorship, gut microbiota, fiber-rich foods, inflammation

Randomized controlled trial comparing gut microbe-friendly diet and exercise lifestyle versus Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) diet and exercise lifestyle for reducing inflammation. The primary outcome is a biomarker for inflammation, C-reactive protein. Another outcome is metagenomic assessment of change in the gut microbiota of the participants and whether these changes covary with the observed microbe-friendly exercise and dietary lifestyle is expected to reduce systemic inflammation as much or more than the DPP.
